MIRROR

In der Installation interFace fungieren Kamera und Monitor jeweils als Spiegel, der die Bilder der Betrachter miteinander verkettet. Zwei Personen stehen vor jeweils einer Kamera; die Kameras nehmen zwei Gesichter wahr. Die dazwischengeschaltete Software versucht, jedes der beiden Gesichter aus Bildfragmenten des jeweils anderen Gesichtes zu konstruieren. Das Bild des Einen kann ohne das Bild des Anderen nicht entstehen und umgekehrt.

In "interFace" camera and monitor function as a mirror that links the photos of the viewers. Two people at a time stand in front of a camera; the cameras detect two faces. The software, which runs between camera and monitor, attempts to re-construct each face from image fragments of the other. The image of one face cannot be realised without the other and vice versa.
