Mejan Labs opened in 2006 in the building of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Stockholm Sweden. Mejan Labs functions as an extension of the Royal University College of Fine Arts in Stockholm and aims to establish a site that combines education, research, experiments and exhibitions.
Mejan Labs strives to show artists belonging to the international art scene but never shown in Sweden. We aim to make expressions not established in Sweden yet visible.
Our ambition is to be recognized as an institution for experiments and that questions the current Swedish Art scene and theory and connect the Royal Acedemy of Fine Arts and it's students to the international art scene, public and society in general.
Except for exhibitions Mejan Labs produces projects and workshops and lectures at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts.
